Provides instructors with the training to be certified as either an Extended Range Nitrox Diving Instructor, an Extended Range Instructor, or an Extended Range Trimix Instructor. Upon completion, instructors will be able to certify students as one of these three ratings, based upon the level of training they received and under the equipment configurations for which they are qualifed.

Pre-requisites

• Open Water Instructor certification
• Deep Diving Instructor certification
• Diver Stress & Rescue Instructor certification
• Enriched Air Nitrox Instructor certification
• 20 dives deeper than 100 feet
• For Extended Range Nitrox Diving Instructor:
  • Extended Range Nitrox Diving certification (or an equivalent from a recognized training agency)
• For Extended Range or Extended Range Trimix Instructor:
  • Extended Range or Extended Range Trimix certification (or an equivalent from a recognized training agency)
  • Have issued at least 3 enriched air nitrox 40 certifications

Does Not Include

• SSI XR Instructor wetnotes
• Travel or fees associated with the dive center where training will occur
• Gas prices (nitrox or trimix) are an additional fee.

Medical Clearance

Each student participating in Extended Range training must provide a Medical Participant Questionnaire, approved and signed by a licensed medical practioner based on a diving medical examination and dated within one year of the training completion date, prior to any in-water activity. This form will be sent to you following registration and needs to be completed prior to your first session, including physician approval. If you do not receive medical clearance from your physician for whatever reason, then we will issue a full refund for the course.
